Before the Year Slips Away

And here we are—the last month of the year. But before you step into 2020, there’s still time. I just want you to take a few moments and read this motivational boost. Who knows? It might help you make the coming year a little better.

Just imagine…

You’re sorted. You know what you want and what you don’t. You’ve figured out what truly matters in your life. You have your own opinions, your own plan. You no longer waste time on things or people who don’t deserve it. Every night, when you go to bed, you’re content with your day. Maybe you have fewer people in your life now, but they’re real—loyal, loving, and genuine. You don’t just dream, you plan, and most importantly—you act on those plans.

Sounds like a good life, right?

We all want that. We all want to be happy, successful, sorted. And while I won’t say life will become perfect overnight, I will say this—it can be better. The first step? Sorting out your life. Yes, it’s tough. Not impossible, but tough. Because we all have bad habits we secretly enjoy. We have people who treat us poorly, yet we beg them to stay. But in the end, it’s on us. It depends on what kind of life we choose to live.

Between the ages of 18 to 25, we often crave a fun, carefree life. But that phase? It’s also the foundation of everything that follows. There’s no fixed age for success, sure—but the earlier we get there, the longer we get to enjoy it. So, for a better tomorrow, we must make some hard decisions today.

Here’s a simple way to start:

Step One: Find Time and Space

Set aside some quiet time in your busy schedule. Sit in a peaceful place. Calm your soul.

Step Two: Ask Yourself This First Question

What are the unimportant activities in your life?

Be honest with yourself. Maybe it’s watching too much TV, endlessly scrolling on social media, gaming for hours, sleeping more than you need to, chatting or calling constantly, partying excessively—whatever it is, be real about how much time it eats up.

Fun matters. Life isn’t just work. But even fun needs limits. So think about how much time you waste—and if that time could be spent building something better.

Step Three: Ask Yourself the Second Question

What is actually important to you?

You might know a lot of people. You might be super social. But who’s really yours? Not everyone feels the same way about you that you feel about them. The wrong company can mess up your life faster than you think. Be careful. Choose wisely. And don’t be afraid to make friendly distance from those who drain you.

And now, your career and dreams. If you’re happy where you are with no big goals, that’s okay. But if you do have dreams, work on them. There’s nothing more powerful than a person who works on their purpose. And honestly? Making your parents proud—now that’s a good feeling.

Find what moves you forward. Make time for it. Commit to it.

We all feel bad sometimes, watching others have fun while we hustle. But the sacrifices you make today can light up your future. Even your worst days have value—because someday, you’ll talk about them with pride.

So take your time. Reflect. Sort it out.

And if this post helped even a little, I’m glad.

Have a good day.
