We’re in the last month of the year, and before you step into 2020, please read this small motivational boost to help you make the next year a little better.
Just imagine being sorted in life. You know what you want to do and what not. You know what’s important and what’s not. You have opinions, plans, and direction. You don’t waste time on unnecessary things. Each night, when you go to bed, you’re happy with your day. You don’t chase people who don’t care for you, and maybe that’s why you have fewer people in your life, but at least they’re loyal and loving. You don’t just dream, you plan and act.
We all want that kind of life: simple, clear, successful. I’m not saying everything will be perfect, but it can definitely be better. Sorting your life is a step toward success. It’s not impossible, but yes, it’s tough. We all have bad habits that bring us comfort. We all have people who drain us, yet we beg them to stay. But at the end of the day, it’s up to us what kind of life we want to live.
There comes an age where we just want to have fun and be carefree. But we also need to understand that the years between 18 and 25 are crucial. There’s no fixed age for success, but the sooner we start, the more we enjoy the results. For that, we need to make some hard decisions, the kind that hurt now but make tomorrow easier.
So, let’s start with a few small steps:
Step 1: Find a little time in your busy schedule. Sit somewhere peaceful and calm your mind.
Step 2: Ask yourself the first question — What are the unimportant activities in my life?
It could be watching endless TV, scrolling social media, gaming for hours, oversleeping, chatting all night, or partying too much. Fun is necessary; no one can work nonstop, but limits matter. Think about how much time you waste on what doesn’t serve you.
Step 3: Ask yourself the second question — What is important to me?
You may know many people, but who among them truly matters? The wrong company can derail your life before you even realise it. Not everyone feels for you the way you feel for them. Be kind, but be careful. If someone doesn’t make you feel good, keep a friendly distance. It’s okay to have fewer people if they’re real.
Now, let’s talk about your dreams and goals. If you don’t have one and you’re genuinely content, that’s fine. But if you do have a dream, work for it. Nothing is more important than your purpose. There’s no better feeling than making your parents proud and yourself fulfilled.
Take some time to think about what truly matters to you, and make space for that. Don’t compare your life with others. Some sacrifices today can make your future brighter. Even the bad days are part of your story; you’ll look back and be proud of how far you’ve come.
Have a good day and sort your life, one small step at a time.
