The people who left you left because they didn’t want to stay. If they wanted to, they would have tried. They would have fought for you. But they didn’t.
They left because they no longer love you. But that doesn’t mean they never did.
So let them go. Because if you still want them back, isn’t that an insult to yourself? You’re trying to hold on to someone who doesn’t belong to you anymore. Do you really want to keep what’s no longer yours?
I know you’re hurting. You’re upset, you’re sad. But you know what, we walk and walk and then fall. Now it is up to us how long we want to stay like this and when we want to get up and walk again.
So now, it’s up to you. What do you want?
Never forget that before anyone else, you need you. You need your own love, your own care, your own respect. You exist. Count yourself too.
