A Sad Summer Night

On a sad summer night, beneath the moon's soft glow,
Something stirs within, a feeling hard to outgrow.
In my chest, a heaviness, like a burden I bear,
It weighs me down, fills the warm night air.
Tears trickle down, in the quiet of the night,
Each drop a silent echo of my inner fight.
The stars above, they seem to understand,
As I yearn for solace, longing for a helping hand.
In the hush of darkness, I search for a sign,
A beacon of hope, a reason to shine.
Yet in the stillness, my heart feels so alone,
Lost in the sadness, with no place to call home.
But even in the sorrow of this summer night's embrace,
I hold onto the promise of a brighter space.
For just as the night must yield to the morning's light,
I know that joy will come, banishing the night.
