Who are you competing withβand why?
You created a page on Instagram to share your art with people. To express, not impress. But slowly, you got pulled into a race. A race for maximum followers. From begging to buying, you tried every trick in the book. And in the end, you realizedβnone of it was real.
Honestly, when I started my page, I also wanted followers. I had a goal: 1 K. And it took me three years to reach it, because I believed that if I truly deserved something, I would get it the right way.
But now? Iβm tired. Tired of seeing low reach on my posts. Still, I do my work every day. And I will always do itβeven if only one person reads it. Because that one person matters.
I feel privileged to have some people who genuinely support and appreciate my work. And I believe we should be grateful for what we do have. I follow some really good writers and try to learn from them, because I know I still have so much to learn.
Iβve changed my opinion about what it means to βhave a pageβ on social media. And I hope someday, you will too. Because the truth is: we can change the situation.
Letβs stop blaming others and start being responsible. Letβs not let the artistβor the humanity in us die for the sake of numbers.
