If you’re not a dreamer, this might not be for you. But then again, is there anyone who isn’t a dreamer? Rarely.
We all have many dreams about many things, but today I am talking here about that one dream that we all have seen once in our lives and want to fulfil.
Now imagine this: half your life has passed, and one day, you sit back and think about it. You realise you’re not living the life you once dreamed of. You wanted to do something meaningful, but you didn’t, not because you couldn’t, but because you were afraid. You hesitated to take that first step. You doubted your dream. You worried about what others would think. Maybe your parents had different plans for you. And now, that dream remains what it always was — just a dream. The thought makes you angry, and even hopeless. But then you calm yourself by saying, “It’s fine. What I couldn’t do, my children will.”
And that’s where the cycle begins. They grow up, carrying your unfulfilled dreams until one day, they too make the same promise to themselves. And the cycle keeps repeating. But here’s the truth — you can stop it. Right now. There are two ways to look at it:
First, if you couldn’t fulfil your dreams, help someone else fulfil theirs. You already know how painful it feels to carry broken dreams; don’t pass that pain forward. Don’t force anyone to live the life you couldn’t.
Second, remember that it’s not too late. You still have time. Think about what you want, what kind of life you want to live — and at least try once because life isn’t meant to be a list of regrets.
It won’t be easy. But great things never come from easy ways. So stop the cycle. Start living your dream — the one that’s been waiting for you all along.
