When the Writer Goes Silent

This month, I don’t have anything special to share with you.

I asked the writer in me what we should post. At first, she stayed quiet. Then she finally said, “I can’t write anything this month.” The reason? Weird—but also painfully familiar. After all, I’ve known her for a long time.

She said, “I’m not handling our life issues properly, so I can’t focus on writing.”

And then she added something that stayed with me:

“The system that automatically translates emotions and thoughts into words is broken. I’m trying my best to repair it, but it’s taking time. Sometimes I feel too much, and sometimes I feel nothing at all. When I try to think, my mind fills with noise. Emotions swirl like a whirlpool, and I start to feel dizzy. My body aches as if I’ve fallen from the 28th floor. You won’t believe me, but I feel exhausted at 8 a.m.”

After hearing that, what could I possibly say?

I’m also trying. Really. To handle everything.

But life is… well, life.

  1. Take a break and come back refreshed 🙂

  2. It’s OK it happens to all of us. I think we just have to be free in thoughts and everything will fall into place

  3. I don’t know why but I feel you through your words and believe me when I say this. Kudos to you for being such strong and also celebrate yourself especially on your lows.

  4. Spend time with nature and nourish your soul but again it’s too late🙏🙏🙏
I am sorry about late back response🙏

    1. It’s okay. It’s still a useful advice.
