Knowing your worth is a big part of self-love. The moment you truly realise it, everything begins to change. You start focusing on what you love and what you deserve — and you work hard for it.
You keep your life simple and your peace intact. You don’t need a crowd; a few loyal, loving people are enough. You might lose some along the way, but you’re not afraid of loneliness anymore. You’ve learned to enjoy your own company.
When you value yourself, you don’t let people hurt you. What they say or think doesn’t hold weight because you know it’s temporary. You stop comparing yourself to others. You trust your own abilities, your own path. You know what you want, and you know you’ll only be satisfied when it’s truly yours.
That’s maturity. And maturity doesn’t come with age; it comes with experience. Maybe you’ve already reached this point, or maybe you’re still on your way. Either way, you’ll get there.
